@ironbuild_eli9 @GeorgeAnagli You’re clearly taking it out of context. He suggests that some people probably do these things for money, but that’s not to say it’s normal either. His main point was the possible psychopathic element. Don’t be so quick to call people’s academic credentials into question.

That guy needs to see a psychiatrist. He was obviously not doing it for the money, that kind of behavior is not normal.

@dr_berkai The idea of PharmD + GEMP to become MD is a complete misunderstanding of career path. If you set out to pursue Pharmacy there’s a wide space to explore. You’re probably entertaining GEMP because of limited job opportunities in Ghana. Dive deep, look outside cos there’s more.

@KobenaLutterodt @n_friggo That tells you the degree of importance he attaches to a patient who just had a surgery. I don’t even know what he means but maybe the patient should just get up from the surgery and be going home.

We hear you loud and clear. I just have one question. Regarding his statement on recovery beds. Where else should people who have undergone a major surgical procedure be sent to? Trans-ed out straight to the ward post-op? Left on the operating table that serves cases for the day?

“If you’re a medical professional and tired of the work, you can resign. Ghana will survive” - Dr Mark Nawaane, Chair of the Health Committee, has told medical professionals who feel exhausted or disillusioned with the profession to resign rather than compromise the ethics and standards of healthcare delivery. #3NewsGH #TV3GH

@Mira_Lambo What’s this you are writing that “two things cannot be true at once” Were you there to understand the circumstances on the grounds to arrive at the conclusion that there was a right emergency response setup, however care providers just deliberately failed to provide the care.

The day we start taking accountability and responsibility seriously as a country, we’ll go far. Until then, we’ll keep suffering the same problems over and over again. Some of the takes I’m seeing about the actions taken against the doctors on duty the day Charles died are worrying. Two things can be true at once. Yes, the system has issues, but people still need to be held accountable for their actions too. If nobody takes responsibility, nothing will ever change.

@bryte_bell @dr_bandak @JoyNewsOnTV We can’t do that where there is a system deficit and service providers are already burdened and having to always improvise. They will ultimately get to the breaking point.

It’s always boils down to management and those are people. People fix structures. We shouldn’t pretend on this ‼️ Enough Is Enough The pick n choose is done by people. Every hospital (referral point) has triage and referral protocols ‼️ Negligence shouldn’t be sweep 🧹 under the “Structure blame” One day it cld be me or u‼️ Enough Is Enough

In my interview with @JoyNewsOnTV this evening, I emphasized one central point: We must embrace the committee’s findings with the seriousness they deserve. If there was a breach of professional duty in the care of Charles Amissah, then professional accountability must follow. But accountability must not stop with individual practitioners. Emergency care failure is rarely only about one person. What is equally critical is the system around that person: ➤ Institutional protocols. ➤ Referral coordination. ➤ Ambulance capability. ➤ Facility readiness. ➤Leadership oversight. Whether clinicians are given the tools, authority, and support to act quickly when minutes matter. If we punish individuals but leave the emergency chain unchanged, we have not fixed the problem. We have only found a place to absorb public anger. Ghana needs both individual accountability where duty was breached. System accountability where institutions failed to provide the conditions for safe emergency care. That is how we prevent the next tragedy. Emergency care must be governed, measured, funded, and enforced as a national priority. Because when the emergency system is weak, everyone is exposed. —— Thanks for having me @_iamsamani. Were you trying to stop me from speaking with your numerous “absolutely” 😂

@bryte_bell @dr_bandak @JoyNewsOnTV And you should not be in haste to put out an argument based on emotions. Everyone could be at the receiving end that’s why we should advocate for stronger response systems so that if someone fails at doing their job, we can clearly lay it all on their heads….
