@Mattccfc33 10 years ago. 50% of our budget went on social care. Today 80% of our budget goes there. That's why there's less city dressing. We prioritise helping people over bunting. Again, if you disagree, please have a chat with your cllr.

@Mattccfc33 There's a cost to everything Matt. Money spent on city dressing is not being spent on other services. Chat to your ward cllr though if you think city dressing should be more a focus. They can raise it for you.

@coventrycc Not enough as always, i must say you done well with the stuff you put around the city with cov citys promotion parade or what not but England not so good could do better but hey ho !!

@Mattccfc33 Hey don't you have a go at the size of our flag. Size doesn't matter. There's plenty of signs throughout the city. Go for a drive on the ring road and see what you spot!

@coventrycc What's happened to this week's brown bin collection? I can't even report it as missed as it's not an option on the webpage only blue bins.

With temperatures set to rise to 30°C and above, our bin crews will start one hour earlier than usual to avoid some of the heat. So please have your bins out and ready for 6am. We recommend putting them out the night before the collection. Thank you for your patience.

Recycling collections are paused today. If it’s your scheduled recycling collection today, please leave your bin out and crews will be back tomorrow or Monday. Thanks for your patience.

Due to the heat, collections are taking longer than usual to allow crews to take water breaks. Tomorrow, we'll only collect green and brown bins. If your blue bin is due, please still put it out . We'll collect it on Saturday or Monday instead. Thank you for your patience.

Due to the extreme heat, our bin collections will be slower than usual. This is to allow our crews to have much needed hydration breaks. If we don’t get to your bin on your scheduled day, then please leave it out and we will return for it.

It remains impossibly hot and the Red Heat-Health alert is still in place. Please take care of yourselves and look out for others, particularly those that are vulnerable. Remember to drink lots of fluids, apply suncream and please don’t leave anyone in a closed vehicle.
