This should be front-page news, but it isn’t… yet. One of the largest petitions in Canadian history has just been tabled in Parliament—and it’s entirely grassroots. No political parties. No major organizations. Just Canadians pushing back. At the core, it’s about something most people assume they already have: the freedom to choose how they take care of their own health. People are fed up with natural products being treated like drugs, with access being restricted, and with decisions being made by regulators instead of individuals. This petition forces the government to respond—but what they do next depends on pressure from the public. That’s where you come in. Take a couple of minutes to contact a Liberal MP. Send an e-letter, make a phone call, or even mail a physical letter. Tell them you expect them to support the Charter of Health Freedom. Link to @nhppa’s Action Page in thread ⬇️

Volume does matter. But volume also changes the chemical concentration of the droplets 🤔 it’s hard for me to ever say one thing works or doesn’t until I try it myself. Stubborn farmer mentality I guess hahaha. Stay tuned for low water volume tests on our machine vs high water volume.

@LowBoomLowDrift Extra Surfactant is always a non-ionic type (trade names vary). Years ago my dad had bought drums of an ionic Surfactant and that worked just as well. I would guess my kochia would be tolerant. I hadn't really considered the technical differences until you asked.🤔

@cpwcsk Is it chem resistant? Or chem tolerant ? I can plant some in my kochia garden and test 😂. You are on the right track here with the surfactant. Are you adding any other surfactants?

What is the lowest water volume you have applied out of your sprayer ? What chem ? What adjuvant? Did it work ? What about the airplane? Same results or different ?

@LowBoomLowDrift Reglone really benefits from 2-3x the surfactant that they have on label. I have foundation kochia seed if you need. Full herbicide resistant pack. I believe it blew in from my neighbors "chem" fallow.

@cpwcsk I have the same theory on reglone. Lower water volume. Smaller droplets. Control drift with boom height. Spray in the dew if possible. I like that you are using twin fans on herbicide with low water volume. Not many are going this way yet 🤔. How is your kochia ?

N.A. farmers are in good shape for spring fertilizer. Potash - everything should be in place Phosphate - everything should be in place NH3 - most demand is met by domestic production UAN - most demand is met by domestic production Urea - of the 5 - 5.5M import needed, 3.5M already lined up thru March

@Kotyjo If you want to trust the unhinged owner of this platform with your internet and satellite services, go ahead. There are many that don’t want anything to do with a system that has no Canadian land infrastructure. He has proven he can click off whoever he wants. Ask Ukraine.

Good morning. I think I found the pot of gold down here. All the Canadian big dogs have branches downtown. It’s a lazy beach day. The Liberals are pretending we have a space agency and will spend $200 million to get us there. So they want to build Starlink for Canada. Yeah, why not work with Starlink and give every household in the northern areas of Canada the hardware and do a deal for paying for it. Funny, the cost for this would be $15.7 million for hardware and $54 million annually for everyone living in northern Canada basically. But probably no Liberal would get a payoff. Why do Liberals always want what others have and then think they can actually create it with government money? Look at idiot Trudeau’s pipeline fiasco. NATO players just showed they want to get their oil from Russia and want the war to continue. Funny, every day we have video and photos from Iran and it’s a war zone but Ukraine nothing. Family who went to the new winter farm show in Regina said it was good and found a few things for spring 2026. Carla is turning the NDP in Saskatchewan into a complete left-wing hateful shit show. Way to go NDP. You should never ever be allowed to run governments anywhere. Even Cuba wouldn’t want you. Grain is red overnight but wheat is moving a little. It froze last night again and now the heat is coming. 104 in Phoenix today and will be that way tomorrow. Nebraska is burning up with huge fires. Rate cut in USA or flat. Have a great day. Oh I suppose glyphosate is going up?

A petition started on change.org by someone called “Canadian Farmers” is trying to delay the sale of AgriCity to UFA with 178 signatures already. “We the undersigned state that the sale of AgraCity and affiliated companies, including Genesis Grain and Fertilizer, must be delayed until: 1) Farmers have been given adequate time to access all the information relevant to the sale, and enough time for honest and open consultation 2) Farmers have adequate time to aggregate their resources to buy the companies. We further state that, given the large number of farmer investors and their significant investment, Genesis G&F farmer investors must be involved in the decision on how,  and to whom, Genesis G&F should be sold.”

Long nitrogen fertilizer post: Lot of folks asking "how do we solve this crisis quickly?". Short answer...you don't. The damage is done. We CAN alleviate some of the problems and we CAN help put the market in a better place for the next generation: Very short-term: consider another government farmer payout - I am not a fan of gov't subsidy payments, but when gov't action destroys the farmer markets, I can justify them. This helps the average farmer survive the year. Short-term: do away with DEF requirements - talk to most people who have to use DEF and they will be more than happy to share why it sucks. Removing requirements puts a lot of tons back in farmers hands. Medium-term: look into enticing existing production into debottleneck projects/production expansions - yes, I know this just makes the big companies bigger but the problem is not the number of companies but rather the lack of supply. We need an injection of supply sooner than later. Long-term: finance package for a new company to build a new world scale nitrogen production facility - this checks the box for more competition and more supply in the market. This would take years...again, we are thinking of the next generation. This is just my personal two-cents and honestly, my personal POV is rarely worth that much!

@onemomentahead @FoodProfessor So what happens when you have already no-tilled for 30 years, already utilize pulse crops and literally don't have enough moisture to germinate a cover crop.

@FoodProfessor Rising fertilizer costs (urea ~$611/ton in 2026) are hitting conventional farms hard. Time to shift to regenerative ag: cover crops, no-till, rotations cut synthetic inputs 30-50%+, build soil health, boost resilience & long-term profits. Transition takes time, but it pays off.

For Canadian farmers, fertilizer costs could rise 10–35% this season if the Iran conflict continues, with the biggest risk for nitrogen fertilizers like urea and ammonia. reuters.com/business/energ…

Russia is paying about $650/ton CDN. Ukraine, that has stolen $30 billion from Canadians, pay $1,000/ton. Meanwhile Canada has enough domestic supply for every farmer in Canada and even makes extra for export but because a strait that no Canadian fertilizer will ever go through got shut down they can now charge $1400/ton. The input companies are not your friends.
Bantry@BantrySeedFarms

Heard N is 1400/ton ? Anyone else seeing this ? Fuel jumped up to 1.48 ( super b delivery ) and was told it’s going up another .25 tommorow ? Yeesh. lol #Agtwitter

Force majeure has been called. 90% of the marine traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has been shut down. Fertilizer prices are going to moonshot. Get rid of DEF in vehicles and drop the tariffs on Russian fertilizer but they won’t because the Government hates you and wants to give your land away to the surrendered Indians.

BREAKING: Qatar is set to fully shut natural gas liquefaction today, two sources close to the matter say. Restarting natural gas liquefaction after a complete shutdown would take 2 weeks. Once restarted, Qatar would need at least another 2 weeks to reach full capacity. Qatar is the 2nd largest LNG exporter in the world.
