@TheFieldOf68@GoodmanHoops As a Louisville fan….the 2nd one was the SINGLE worst call I’ve ever seen. So their solution was to call a 3rd. Perfectly sums up the state of college officiating!
@caddietales Mark, as a former caddie and a golf nut, you are easily my favorite twitter follow. Love your takes on the game and your eternal optimism.
Caddied for some Ohio State diehards today. Really liked them.
Life is complicated! 😂🤷
Got me thinking about some other things that pleasantly surprised me this season. Here are a few...
- While I certainly witnessed a fair share of frustration from players, I don't recall anyone venturing into raging lunatic territory like years past.
- The turn window had pickle spears to put on our brats and dogs. I don't remember them in years past, or at least didn't take them. They are a tremendously satiating snack for a caddie that has sweat a lot. A real game changer!
- I had a really good season with medical doctors, which has often been the most difficult/disappointing profession to caddie for in my opinion
- The pace of play, while not always perfect, has been much better. I attribute it to the wise decision from golf staff to switch to 13 minutes in between tee times instead of 10.
- I work Saturdays. It used to make me ill to miss college football. This year it just hasn't mattered to me.
- My nether region had much less angst and chaffing due to @ChassisForMen. Great powder and cream. Thanks for helping me keep my chassis classy!
- I've had a lot more players that actually have been able to drive the ball over 280 yards like they say they can at bag drop, and quite a few over 300.
- A much higher percentage of players than usual, at least in my groups, chose to play tees appropriate for their abilities.
- My Achilles still hasn't snapped.
- I witnessed four birdies on hole 18 this year (a record), but none on hole 4.
- Every now and then a player recognizes me at the bag drop and comes and says hello. Always a thrill!
Only a couple weeks left in the journey. What other surprises await?
Thanks for coming on my long walks with me!!!
Pick yourself up something nice and help support a soon to be out of season caddie. caddietales.co
@sgellison It’s a stupid play. All he has to do is knock the ball down. Even if in gets the pick he costs his team 15 yards in field position…….details matter!
For the second week in a row, the Ravens' opponent scores a touchdown off a deflected pass.
This time, it went through Marlon Humphrey's hands and right into Cedric Tillman's hands.
Browns got super lucky, and the game is now 20-10 with Ravens in the lead.
@JennaLaineESPN I briefly met Teddy when he was a freshman at UL. I don’t know what “it” is, but I knew instantly he had “it.” The world needs more Teddy’s .
Teddy Bridgewater talks about his suspension from coaching high school due to impermissible benefits that included Uber and meals for players. “Miami Northwestern is in a tough neighborhood. Things can happen when kids are walking home. I was just trying to protect them.”
And now first-base coach Matt Schilling has been ejected ... and it looked like he also got an additional suspension for arguing too long. This is a tough scene. Umpires completely making this thing all about themselves in the first inning. Gross.
@KVanValkenburg Are your takes just designed to get a reaction? I mean the dude survived a head-on collision with a bus, was told he would never walk again, striped a 1 iron at Merion, and won 3 majors in a season long before Tiger was even born. But yea, let’s knock Hogan swing worship!
@Top100Rick The dumbest single feature in golf course design. The game is hard enough….why should we penalize people when they hit it where they’re supposed to!?!?
What do you think about middle of the fairway trees? This one is almost middle of the green.
I personally love a good middle of the fairway tree. It makes you think and plan.
I prefer it when it makes a lot of players whine. 😂
@debbieantonelli In a season full of great highlights, watching Patrick score in the IU game with you on the call was one of my favorite moments. All the best to Patrick!
I gave it everything….
Congratulations @McIlroyRory on winning the @TheMasters and completing the Grand Slam.. very cool sharing the green with you in that moment…
Thank you Team🌹 as always for all the support during the week… We go again 👊🏻
@KVanValkenburg Two wrongs don’t make a right, KVV. Rory was in a great spot in the middle of 15 fairway. He needed 19 shots to get to the house. Rahm’s 75 is irrelevant in that outcome.
I would love it if LIV stans would hold Rahm to the same standard we hold Rory. This is a shitty back nine for Rory, and we've seen this movie too many times. I can't believe y'all fell for it again. But at least he was in it for a second. Rahm going MIA here yet again stinks.
If Rahm had secured the bag but also been great in majors, that would be fine. But he hasn't benefitted the way Bryson has from the move. He's too good to keep making these excuses for him.
@the2kfranky Frank, you’ll always have a home in Louisville. To you and your teammates, thank you for believing in this program and helping make Louisville basketball fun again!
being the best teammate I could ever be both on and off the floor.
Though our season might be over, the ReviVille will live on forever and I’m more than grateful to be part of one of the great stories in Louisville basketball history.
As always, Go Cards forever ❤️🖤
Card nation,
If I send you this, thank you so much for the continued support all season long. It was an honor to put on the Louisville Jersey and representing this historic program night in and night out.
I’ll always cherish going to war with my brothers every night and cont.
@LouisvilleMBB Can I have 2…good! The opening sequence of the 2nd half against IU and James Scott’s put back/fast break dunks against Clemson! Go Cards.
