We are sharing this clip to provide clear context regarding the flat Earth debate challenge between Doc and the late Rob Skiba. This footage, originally published on June 18, 2018, shows the reality of the situation and Doc’s actual response at the time.
While the debate never took place before Rob’s passing, we want to be clear: this isn't about speaking ill of the deceased. We have a great deal of respect for the Skiba family and recently enjoyed a wonderful podcast with Rob’s son, Jeremiah.
This post is simply a response to the misinformation currently being spread. We believe the truth matters, and this original 2018 footage speaks for itself.

I have to say... five years seems like overkill for Malema for the crime in question, especially given it pushes him out of parliament. Kinda feels like we're trying to nail him for other crimes that are harder to prove, like corruption. In France, people are reluctant to jail Marie Le Pen, a right wing populist, for much worse crimes because it'll prevent her from running for president and be seen as affecting voters' choice and more importantly... turning her into a "martyr" against "the system," potentially strengthening the far-right's popularity. That's what we're risking with Malema here, galvanising an otherwise flagging EFF base.

What these SA Govt officials neglected to mention was that these American companies operates in sectors where they're NOT required to hand over 30% of their companies to a local, but there's already provision for equity equivalents in those sectors.
Elon is more than willing to go down the same path, but the Telecoms sector, for some reason, doesn't (yet) offer this alternative, and backlash to Comms Minister Malatsi's directive to allow for an equity alternative in the Telecom sector is telling...

South Africa won’t allow Starlink to be licensed, even though I was BORN THERE, simply because I am not Black! We were offered many times the opportunity to bribe our way to a license by pretending that a Black guy runs Starlink SA, but I have refused to do so on principle. In Cape Town, we are trying to demonstrate just that. We still have lots of problems, but we’re working, growing and steadily succeeding. 🇿🇦💪
