@GWRHelp can someone please respond to my messages. I appreciate your busy, but I’m trying to determine if it’s going to be practical and safe to get home tonight or if I need to try and sort a hotel and return tomorrow.

@GWRHelp From what I can see pretty much everything as been cancelled today. Strange as travel updates on GWR.com doesn’t mention these stations it only seems to mention Exeter onwards.

@GWRHelp Ok. I rebooked my ticket to an earlier train - 14:36 and that’s suddenly been cancelled. How are you going to get everyone back to castle Cary and other stations that way today?

@craigsin The 2 services before and after is the standard for cancelled services. You're welcome to speak to station staff to see if they can allow your ticket to be valid on services outside of this. -Julia

@GWRHelp good morning. I’m due to return from Paddington to Castle Cary this evening (18:36) on an advance single. Given the state of play with train cancellations will I be ok to travel on an earlier train to ensure I can get home.

Hi there, thank you for your message. If your train is cancelled, then you can use your current ticket on the two trains directly before or two trains directly after your booked time without amending it. If the two services immediately before or after your original train are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket. -Julia

@GWRHelp just noticed I had an email over night saying. We’ve been notified by Great Western Railway that the 18:36 service from London Paddington has been cancelled. It’s the Taunton I’m going to. Can you confirm if this train is cancelled and my options. Thanks.

@GWRHelp Sorry. What’s been confirmed. The train is delayed, or the train is running on time. Just want to be sure. Don’t want to end up on a later train and get home excessively late.

@GWRHelp Had this in an email overnight. “We’ve been notified by Great Western Railway that the 18:36 service from London Paddington has been cancelled.” I’m on the 18:36 to Taunton - with a Pewsey split ticket. What are my options?
