#SayNothing. A giddy BATTLE FOR ALGIERS about the IRA, and how women became key combatants. It’s also the best series of the year. Joshua Zetumer is the showrunner, and anyone wanting to learn about structure in binge-watch TV should watch this show. Great cast and directing.

@DouthatNYT Reading and loving this book -- but would not recommend timing the read to a Moderna booster shot as I did. Having discomfort from an immune system reaction swell under your skin while reading is too immersive for me.

Can't believe I hadn't seen Otto Preminger's ultra decadent BONJOUR TRISTESSE @criterionchannl) until today, what a fantastic piece of filmmaking. Mixing a technicolor past with a B&W present, this gorgeously photographed 1958 gem is as deeply subversive a film as u can imagine.
