For an 800-mile road trip, EVs add **2.5–3 hours** of charging time vs gas. Gas: 2–3 stops, each under 5 minutes. Total fueling time? 10–15 minutes max. EV reality (2025–2026 models): 3–4 DC fast charger stops, 15–35 minutes each. Total charging: 1–2.5+ hours spread out. Pure driving is already 10–12 hours at highway speeds. Add the charging and you’re looking at 13–15 hours door-to-door. I don’t have 3 extra hours to sit at a charger while my family waits. Gas is in and out. This isn’t “convenient” for long hauls… it’s a time tax. (Yeah, a quiet ride is nice… but not worth losing 2-3 hours on a road trip.)

Electric chainsaws are way better then having to mess with carburetors all the time. I was gonna get a battery for a leaf i got for $1000 but the tariffs kind of ended that idea.
