Pre-Easter holiday update on @ThermopylaeRIP Calls and messages are now regular, frequent, you might say... Very welcome all of them! His alertness is definitely improving every day, with the list of subjects discussed rapidly expanding. I'm saying he will be back at his house by the end of April. It all depends on the mobility situation. All messages of positivity are being passed on!

Had multiple conversations with @ThermopylaeRIP today, and I can confirm that whilst his physical improvement is hard to judge, his cognition is returning fast. Great start to the week!

Update on @ThermopylaeRIP He is still in hospital as expected. Still struggling with eating solids but progress being made. The hospital has a very good pastoral carer who I met whilst I was there. He visits @ThermopylaeRIP regularly and this is proving useful. I’m speaking on the phone tomorrow. If there is any update after that I will let you all know.

@st3venwilliams @ThermopylaeRIP Yes, he is in Voru hospital, which is definitely a 'feed and monitor' facility

Just got back from my morning visit to @ThermopylaeRIP He remains tired but signs of his humour returning. It's the weekend so I can't get much of an update on his medical status but save for any unexpected turns he looks on the path to recovery, albeit not a short road. I've got his phone working again. If you send a message, I'd just ask that you remind him you don't expect a reply, but just want to pass on your thoughts, etc. He just doesn't have the energy to reply, even though he ordinarily would. More news when I have it.

@ThermopylaeRIP update He’s tired but now in a hospital local to his house. It’s a matter of resting and recovering now. Cards delivered, he thanks all that sent one. I think I almost saw a touch of emotion in his eyes but I’m sure I’m wrong… He is now replete with Twixes, Crunchies and After eights although currently not up to eating. View from hospital room window is nice, shame @ThermopylaeRIP can’t see it.
