@ShiptonMartin @RhydianLFrancis Plaid Cymru put their prior beliefs before reality. They called Kemi Badenoch a "white supremacist in blackface" because no 'proper' black person would ever disagree with them right? And let's not forget their response to the Cass report. You've helped put extremists in power 👏

The First Minister is wrong to have requested more Senedd powers and further devolution from the Prime Minister. Labour and Plaid have made a complete mess of what we already have; if anything, devolution should be rolled back. A good start would be to scrap the Senedd expansion and commit to no further powers. This is a very popular position amongst the electorate.

@MaeveHalligan This is absolutely superb. Well done. It's ridiculous that we live in a society where I'm already working out how best to approach this topic with my young children

@WillHayCardiff So this week we've had Victoria Derbyshire and Ed Balls really scrutinising Rhun ap Iorwerth about ridiculous policies in Plaid Cymru's manifesto. Award winning journalist Will Hayward: "'I would rather wank with a razor' says person" Scoop of the century mate.

"I would rather w**k with a razor". Pretty clear response from bloke in Wales when asked if he would consider voting Reform... The man from Reform (who took it in good spirits tbf) is Zak Weaver, a former Tory staffer who defected in February.

RON's GAFFS As we count down to the Senedd elections, Ron is going all out on social media trying to grasp any last minute support. Yet his TV GAFFS are stacking up and the people are starting to see him and Plaid Cymru for what they really are! BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU VOTE FOR ⚠️

@SolutionB2u @nkohari He didn't fall for anything, he gave a statement addressing what Pieter said, which is important because Pieter has an audience and can cause damage spreading stuff like this as he has no experience of things that talks about with authority. I'm glad Nate called him out.

@Aahz_of_Perv @LundukeJournal 💯! And the tone policing types never gave a shit about the actual issues at hand. They all had "feminist" in their bios until LGBT became higher status. The finger wagging is the whole point. And you'll never be good enough, because then they'd have to stop finger wagging.

@timdsci @LundukeJournal I used to love going to cons and user groups, but that sort of hyper-sensitive tone policing seems to have become universal.

The Python Software Foundation is raising a red flag regarding attendance at their upcoming PyCon conference (which takes place in just 28 days). According to the organizers, hotel bookings for the conference are significantly, wildly down over previous years. So much lower, in fact, that the Python Software Foundation needs to book an additional 1,146 *more* hotel nights in order to simply hit the "hotel minimum bookings" and avoid significant, potentially crippling, fees from the hotel. And those hotel bookings need to be made by April 20th. Which means Python has less than 6 days to book over a thousand hotel nights. This is made all the more dire by the ongoing financial issues, which the Python Software Foundation continues to face, after rejecting a $1.5 Million dollar US tax payer grant last year. (The US government said that the grant had a requirement of NOT discriminating based on race. Python decided discriminating based on race was more important than the money.) The Python Software Foundation is blaming the lack of interest in their conference on... the "current situation" in "the US". Saying, "we couldn‘t have foreseen this current situation where interest in coming to the US has sharply declined due to increased risk." pyfound.blogspot.com/2026/04/pycon-…

Remember Wife Swap? We need a TV spin-off: ‘Life Swap’. A week on the shop floor at Tesco - dealing with shoplifting, abuse and impossible targets - while a retail worker gets parachuted into a world of “reconstructed brunches” oat milk lattes and panel discussions about inequality. I’d watch that.

Pre-Easter holiday update on @ThermopylaeRIP Calls and messages are now regular, frequent, you might say... Very welcome all of them! His alertness is definitely improving every day, with the list of subjects discussed rapidly expanding. I'm saying he will be back at his house by the end of April. It all depends on the mobility situation. All messages of positivity are being passed on!

We don't parachute people in from somewhere else. GWLAD candidates fighting for your vote know their areas like the back of their hand. They've lived in their constituencies for years. They know the issues. They know the people. Beat that gwlad.org/candidates

Much like Hannah Spencer blamed @GoodwinMJ for the Manchester Arena bombings, Matthew Wright blamed ‘people like’ me who talk about Islamism for why the British public are fearful of Islamism.
The Free Speech Union@SpeechUnion

Matthew Wright proves our point on LBC this morning. The official definition of Islamophobia — now repackaged as “anti-Muslim hostility” — is already silencing legitimate debate and criticism of Islam and its practices. It amounts to a de facto Muslim blasphemy law. The treatment of Nick Timothy by Labour MPs is deeply sinister. The Shadow Justice Secretary criticised mass Muslim prayer in Trafalgar Square, was reported to the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards, branded “Islamophobic”, and faced calls to resign from Labour MPs and even the Prime Minister. This morning, FSU External Affairs Officer @_ConnieShaw was invited on to discuss the comments made by Nick Timothy. Matthew Wright didn’t want to hear it. After the interview, he told another guest he had “closed her down” because she was “putting out anti-Muslim hatred”. Farcical. In a crowded field, Matthew is this week’s runner up as for chief enforcer of the blasphemy law this week. 👏

Jeremy Davies did not plan to stand in the Senedd election. But he believes someone has to speak for rural communities now being judged almost entirely on cost. A fourth-generation resident of a small village in Gwynedd, he is coming out of retirement because he believes small rural schools are about far more than education. In Cardiff, keeping tiny schools open can look economically irrational. But that misses the point. In rural Wales, the local school helps keep a community alive. It keeps families in the area, villages connected, and older or more isolated people surrounded by others who know them and care what happens to them. What kind of Wales is left if these places are allowed to disappear.
