To those who are panic buying groceries.....highway routes to Kamloops are still open from the East and through the Okanagan. Produce coming from the US can cross at Osoyoos and even products from Vancouver can get here via Washington State and the Okanagan.

There are so many roads closed in BC due to slides and floods the province isn't even listing them all. This includes people trapped on Highways 7, 5 and 3 due to slides. Also includes closures on Vancouver Island on the Malahat. #bcpoli

NEW - The entire community of Merritt may need to be evacuated. The sewage facility is close to overflow. The decision on evacuation has not been made yet. #bcpoli

NEW - There has been more than 200 mm of rain on the Coquihalla. There is damage along the highway. It is unclear how long the road will be closed. #bcpoli
