@jeffjamesjones I like it. I know the feeling well. Short of the protection parts of a fighter or pally there's not much else like it. And once a day would be perfect. In my games what the players can do the baddies can as well so would make things more dynamic.

@jeffjamesjones That it would. When you say Intercede would that mean the person inteceding would take the damage?

@jeffjamesjones Not so sure it would work for lightning bolt situations as anyone in the 100ft long 5 foot wide lightning bolt has to make a dex save. Would work for melee or single target spells. I would rule that the pc using the ability would have to be within 5ft of the intended target.
