Happy Birthday, Freeman McNeil! The slashing running back led the #Jets in rushing for eight straight seasons from 1981 to 1988 — leading the NFL in 1982. In the 1982 AFC First-Round Playoff in Cincinnati, Freeman rushed for a then-AFC postseason single-game record 202 yards, scoring a touchdown and throwing for another. #JetUp

I totally get Lindy sticking with the "dont fix what isn't broke" theory. But come game three I think you gotta move Benson up to the Tage/Tuch line, put Ostlund back in where Benson's been playing with Doan/Norris and get Krebs back on the 4th line with Greenway/Malenstyn

Charles Grodin (born on this day) absolutely wrecked De Niro in Midnight Run. At one point, he needles him so relentlessly that De Niro cracks, breaks for a split-second, looks right at camera, and mutters: “pain in the ass this guy is.” Grodin waits a beat… then hits him again.
