Here is a distinct example of how elected officials representatives try to investigate an Issue and are thwarted. If I was Tulsi, I’d call 20 U.S. Marshalls and take a ride to the front door in Langley, surround the bldg and demand John Ratcliffe appear immediately as it’s a national security issue. If he didn’t turn over the boxes, I’d push the issue and have the Marshalls arrest him. Until someone takes a stand like this, the CIA will believe they run the show.

It’s still a damn shame James Harden got in NBA Top 75 over Manu Ginobili just because Manu didn’t whore touches in a heliocentric system to score more points/dish out more assists. Manu impacted winning more on BOTH ends and in the margins — its not hard to understand who the better player was.

There's an unfortunate game theory to a large civilization in that it requires hard work, ethical behavior, and deferral of gratification to build. But then eventually people start to forget that and think "why would I work hard when theres all this stuff here already? I should just be hedonistic". Slowly, the civilization starts to decay causing it to take care of people less, which causes more people to defect ("why should I take care of a system that doesn't care for me? Especially when there's so much fun to be had by neglecting it"), until eventually it collapses because everyone has defected.

Donald Trump during his 2026 Davos speech touched upon the current housing market, and how lower housing costs for young people would destroy millions in wealth for boomers. "Every time you make it more affordable for somebody to own a house cheaply, you are actually hurting the value of those houses. I don't want to do anything to hurt the value of their house. If I wanted to crush the housing market, I could do that so fast that people could buy houses. But you would destroy people who already have houses." Our politicians are sacrificing people in their 20s and 30s for the prosperity of boomers.
