@Kenrulei @Wario64 Oh of course but hearing this guy talking that if they could sort out controllers like fight sticks at an individual level hopefully this would benefit in the long term to combat cheaters

This can be circumvented at the VID/PID and subtype level. If products can be classified uniquely, then it would help identify getting rid of the cheating devices (which I assume is the goal). It would be a lot of work but it would = happy customers. Happy to provide a spec on what the FGC uses. I worked closely with Xbox3PP teams in the past when I worked on creating specialty controllers.

From November 12, 2023, Microsoft will no longer allow unauthorized third-party accessories to be used with its Xbox consoles.
According to sources, MS plans to expand its program for approved third-party wireless Xbox controllers.

Heyo @XboxP3 @Xbox @mattbooty This is essentially a death sentence for local fighting game events that run on Xbox, much less, others that can only afford one arcade stick. The @brookgamingfans converters are not cheat devices. They’re a huge boon to the FGC. Please reconsider!
