@iggypopbarker The issue isn’t immigration, it’s immigration from certain nations. Afghan immigrants for example are a net drain on the system and at least 3 times more likely to commit crime than the native population. Besides, why do we want them taking British people’s jobs?

Suggesting you’re reasonably bright isn’t an ad hominem, Andy. I’m surprised you’re not flattered. And attempting to gaslight me by suggesting my views are authoritarian and illiberal just makes you look a bit silly. No one - well not me anyway - is suggesting immigrants who have recently arrived in Britain should be standing in council elections. What one might reasonably expect from a political party - though obviously not Restore - is a candidate list that is at least vaguely representative of the population it seeks to serve.

Imagine making a comment like this about a party in Japan full of Japanese people. Or Indians in India. Just utterly bizarre.

Less than half of the UK identify as Christian. 37% identify as atheists. Let's not pretend the UK is a Christian country. We are a mutli-faith society, and a largely secular society. The UK is a country that has many traditions, and welcomes new ones.
