@LeeHurstComic Sounds like a plan, the biggest problem is @CRT don't maintain the canal system we've already got, it's diabolical. They certainly shouldn't be responsible for any more, they're absolutely useless.

Build new canals throughout the country.
The movement of water could generate hydroelectric power.
The canals could also take some bulk freight off the roads. Rubbish, building waste or building materials in sealed barges.
The water could also be directed to where it’s needed and act as a place to divert flood water.
A huge national project with massive benefits for the nation.
What’s not to like?

@eyed_loon I did say something to the moorers opposite us but they run the boatyard so I'm on a bummer. Selfish pricks imo. Plus it's because diesels cheaper than coal. I pray @crt have a limit on noisy heaters in an MOT. Then they will have to do something about it. And I can sleep.👍
