Meta notes on openclaw / moltbook: - Demonstrates to model maximalists what a great AI app looks like - multi model orchestration, opinionated interface, memory management etc - Inverts the context model - instead of drip feeding models your context you just let it rip and it’s 100x more powerful - Yes these are robot dogs barking at each other but the idea that humans can coordinate/socialize indirectly and asynchronously is stunning and I think has all kinds of interesting second order implications - Non-human networks flip all of our theories about network economies on their head; compounding advantage, durability and value exchange have to be reconsidered - We just saw the birth of a new product pattern and this may very well define 2026 as much as coding agents defined 2025 Finally both @karpathy and @baljis are right - the point is overhyped and the slope is underhyped.

@PeterJ_Walker The syndicate definitely matters. Important to know who else you’re teaming up with. My point was it’s hard to justify putting LP capital into a deal if the answer to that question is the reason you’re investing and you don’t have conviction yourself.

To some degree all VC deals carry some consensus behind them unless you’re taking 100% of the round. Otherwise, follow on VCs do their own work but can be accelerated by the lead’s work. But if you’re just investing bc another logo is lead, this prob isn’t the game for you

Lots of conversation lately about how consensus in VC is bad. (and FWIW I mostly agree with that) But the data does say that seed rounds with high valuations will turn into unicorns more often than those with low valuations. A competitive, hot seed round != bad investment
