For all of you Boston fans losing your minds look at it this way: Boston played about 50mins of good playoff hockey on the road. Buffalo played a nearly perfect game. Relentless forechecking, high-danger chances, shots on goal, they were physical, piled up the hits…and still found themselves down 2-0 late in the 3rd. It took one mistake and their best player took advantage of it. The point? Buffalo showed their best game. Despite the lead, this was not Boston’s best effort and still almost found a way to steal a game. It’s why you play 7 games — now it’s a matter of whether lessons were learned and whether there’s a sense of over-confidence on the other side.
