Technology and Survival: A Recurring Story In the era of AGI (Artificial General Intelligence), how will we live and what values can we create? In the AGI era, might content that is certified as "human-made" become highly valuable? In other words, the focus of value evaluation will shift from the quality to the identity of the creator. Therefore, the challenge we need to address now is identifying what is human and what is not in the digital world. How can we distinguish between humans and AI in the digital realm? 2. Humanity Protocol ( @Humanityprot ) Humanity Protocol offers excellent functionality for "human identification." It also aims to solve the sybil attack problem, a significant issue in the current blockchain market. The key mechanism in the Humanity Protocol for identifying people in the digital world is Proof of Humanity (PoH). PoH refers to a mechanism that verifies identity through various on-chain and off-chain processes, ensuring individual identification. The first step of PoH, palm recognition, has the advantage of verifying identity using a minimal amount of biometric information, thus protecting personal information to the maximum extent. Additionally, it utilizes Verifiable Credentials (VC) as unique human certificates, making full use of the Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) concept, which is the starting point of the current Digital Identifier (DID) structure. The tokenomics of the Humanity Protocol aims to provide appropriate incentives to each role to ensure smooth operation of PoH and to impose penalties in case of misconduct, thus pursuing a fair and sustainable system. These features of the Humanity Protocol have the potential for various applications such as Universal Basic Income (UBI), Fairdrops, Decentralized Social Media Network (DeSo), Network States with Human-Centric DAOs, and new value creation mechanisms. However, the Humanity Protocol also faces several issues and is considering solutions for them. Particularly, security issues regarding personal information necessitate technical measures and policies. Thus, the Humanity Protocol manages user data and VCs in a decentralized manner and uses secure methods. Additionally, it encrypts and decentralizes user data to prevent duplication and ensure smooth data retrieval. 3. Human, All Too Human We have an inherent fear of AGI. However, could the AGI era be a time for us to reconsider what it means to be "human"? There is much discussion in the current market about the combination of blockchain and AI. I believe the importance of blockchain in the AGI era lies in its infrastructure, which allows us to prove our humanity.
