imagine it’s 2030 and your funds get hacked by quantum computers… then you just meet a girl next to her BMW, and she says she built an app back in 2026 using @fhenix to keep data private👀

As a woman in crypto I think the equality conversation has a strange gap. Trigger Alert (with respect): this might bring some controversy, but as an old bitch in crypto, I believe below takes will add some value to the space. As women, we ask to be treated equally. but when we get the same critique men get every day, something in the room moves to soften it. People tend to ask for grace, tell the critic they're being too harsh. and I don't think that instinct (however well-meant), is actually helping us. Real equality means earning the respect AND taking the heat. For me that's meant no "I'm just a girl, be soft with me" card. that's my personal line, not a rule I'm trying to write for anyone else. But I believe this shift in mindset help us women a lot with our growth. A few experience I've had over the past 5 years on X. [reader discretion - long ass story, skip thru the Italic parts if you want to see the main points.] ===================================== During infofi, loudio, and Virtual protocol.. It was such a fun time (also big $). There was once I posted a selfie with the project tag to max farm Virgen points (common tactic btw). Some guy QRT'd with something like "mid girl farming points with selfies are destroying the game." I thought it was funny so I commented under the post "how dare you call me mid." that was it. I didn't feel offended, I didn't take it personally cuz my intention was to farm anyway, so i am guilty (BUT - i am not mid, i'm hawt, just putting it right here again, thank you). I also get the saltiness. if I was a man and couldn't post a hot selfie with filters to farm I'd be salty too, but that got nothing to do with jealousy. The only time someone actually tried to bury me was when a stranger posted that I was a "fake account secretly managing a farm of accounts and farming projects for airdrops." (bro literally called out my dream. if that was true I would have retired already.) I QRT'd the hate post once and said it offended me. lots of my friends and followers flooded his comments defending me. One of my closest friends even DM'd him about it and got bullied in the DMs in return.😫 I felt bad. for my friend. also for the guy who falsely accused me. For dragging the timeline into something useless. So I deleted the QRT and followed up with an apology for bringing chaos to the space. wasn't worth it. Above two experiences are mild, I'm blessed that most people are really kind and nice to me over the years. But what i'm trying to say is, when nasty things happen, don't hide behind being a woman to dodge the normal cost of being on here. I've also been deceived by a close friend in the space, used as free labor, then ditched. that guy was known. the project later faded. Multiple big names ended up calling him out themselves. I never did. Cuz I was afraid. I've also been sold out by another close friend for a WL. I never called him out either. Call me a coward. I'm passive by nature. I don't want to be the hero. Nobody sympathised with me because nobody knew. Fk me, that's just who I am. =============================== But again, I never used the girl (Auntie) card. that's the part that was on purpose. And to be clear, plenty of women in this space already take the heat. they post through criticism, they take their lumps, they sharpen. I'm not writing about them. and I'm not writing about the women who don't, either. I'm not in the business of telling other women how to handle their own timeline. I'm writing about the instinct in the room. the reflex from everyone, men and women, to wrap us in cotton the moment a critique shows up. and I get where it comes from. biologically women lean more emotional, and the protective reflex toward us is real. But that instinct directly contradicts what we keep saying we want. Asking for equal status in a space and then accepting unequal treatment the second the criticism shows up doesn't add up. The men here get roasted every day. Their takes, their work, their faces, their losses. They post through it. they harden. they sharpen. I don't think the answer is for women to be roasted harder. I think the answer is for the rest of the space to stop reflexively softening when we are. Let us take it. let us answer back. let us be wrong in public the same way the men are wrong in public. Equality cuts both ways. that's the whole point. So if you don't agree with my takes above, Fk you!
