Kaspa Crescendo Upgrade and What It Means for You (Non-Technical Overview) On May 5, 2025, Kaspa, a fast-growing cryptocurrency, will launch its biggest upgrade yet: Crescendo. What Is the Crescendo Upgrade? Crescendo is a major network upgrade that will increase Kaspa’s block rate from 1 block per second to 10 blocks per second, a tenfold boost in speed and capacity. Here’s what that means: Ten times more blocks processed per second Faster transaction confirmations, almost instant even during busy times Much higher network capacity, supporting more users and use cases Lower fees, because the network won’t get congested easily This upgrade is being implemented through a hard fork, meaning all miners and node operators must upgrade to the new version of the software (v1.0.0) to stay in sync with the network. Why Is This Upgrade Important? Crescendo isn’t just about speed, it’s about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with proof-of-work blockchains. 1. Today is the day that $QUBIC finally got recognition on CoinMarketCap as one of the top 250 ranked cryptos by market cap value. This crypto started out today at 249 (when I saw) and went all the way to 218 so far m. I took screenshots of the top 218 crypto projects starting from Qubic. Will be interesting to see which projects it leapfrogged on its way up to whatever peak ranking it eventually reaches 😏 Good things ahead 💪🚀
