update: I filed the police report on Thursday night like @zachxbt has advised me to. The only attention I received from @binance was two days ago (1st of March), a google meet video call initiated by two "security experts" Gerry & Holic who acted very confused like they have no idea what they are doing, asked me to run two apps -Nettiquette & KnockKnock out of which I emailed them two logs and been told their "investigation" will last 6-12h tops. They did mention that they believe that the hack was done via getting access to my browser's cookies. I after turning my entire Mac mini upside down last days still have zero idea how this hack was executed. Whoever said "he shouldn't use API keys" has to understand that I was cautious and always took my cybersecurity very seriously and despite that someone logged in into Binance.com UI (see screenshot attached) made a bunch of movement on the account and withdrawing leaving his traces all around binance's "account activity records" tab. My email account which is tied to the exchange has had no trace of anyone besides me and I never received a single notification during the hack from Binance except of the hammer on the nail one: BNB Withdrawal Successful You’ve successfully withdrawn 158.08718191 BNB from your account. Withdrawal Address : 0xf775eeb46DE6669FDBf4DA4d24a11b9E2E065bB2 Transaction ID : 0xd5a3b0c1dc05195821f818ec96aacbb1e0e49432dc13d63668ec228cfaa01f6e overall last couple of days were really rough which i spent in paranoia of my identity being stolen running around getting new computer and phone, wiping and renewing everything of my own that is online and tying new email accounts to everything I could think of. Me holding around 80% of my portfolio on Binance was clearly that "eggs in one basket" saying mistake. And seeing after the hack how every single time I made a change to my Bybit account in order to secure it resulted in it being auto locked preventing withdrawals for 24h was a weird "ah-huh" moment that somehow hurt. This simple method would've saved me a lot of anxiety and the most amount of money I ever had in my entire life. Haven't heard back from @BinanceHelpDesk @AlexOnchain @_RichardTeng since more than two days now, not a single apology for lack of attention of their customer support agents nor a slightest hint about compensation for the damage that was done.
