Any DeFAi project without an advanced understanding of account abstraction based wallets (ERC4337) is ngmi The aa wallet narrative was hot last year but has since lost mindshare, however this technology will be a necessity for agentic activity on chain Here’s a quick summary of the problem, solution, and @Symp_AI's custody solution Problem: Many agents are currently using hot wallets to interact with DeFi. These are simple wallets connected to the internet that the agent has private keys to. These wallets are notoriously insecure, as they can be more easily reached by malware (my prediction of this cycles blackswan) The typical solution of using a cold wallet also won’t work as agents won’t be manually confirming txns on a physical device The solution: ERC-4337 account abstraction based wallets. These wallets are based on smart contracts and can include customized functionality. Additionally, they support various signature methods which could include agents having a variety of ways to authenticate themselves (reduces the reliance on a single key) With that said, the boilerplate ERC4337 standard alone will limit that agent's functionality Our Solution: Symphony has developed a custom (and already audited🙂) account abstraction based wallet designed for DeFi trading. This wallet allows agents to securely custody their assets and interact with Symphony’s execution network without ever having to manage the storage of a private key or turning the custody of their wallet over to anyone. They can authenticate themselves in a variety of methods (Twitter verification, etc.) and there can be built in policies for agents starting out in which the creators can help manage the wallet There is no future for DeFAi without account abstraction wallets
