Poilievre wants to cancel the high speed Toronto to Quebec City rail. We should suggest (on his dime) he spend some time in Europe where rail takes you everywhere and public transit is taken by the wealthy because it's faster, cleaner, greener and cheaper. Tory governments are the reason we're decades behind the world.

Canada is literally the only G7 country without high speed rail. Conservatives want you to continue to pay sky high prices for gas, worsen congestion on roads and make your commute hours longer. We've been "studying" high speed rail for 50 years - time to get it built.
Scott Robertson@sarobertsonca

Pierre Poilievre on the Toronto–Quebec City High-Speed Rail Network: "Conservatives oppose the $90b Liberal-Alto train ... a future Conservative government will cancel this $90b boondoggle altogether."

While the focus remains on Iran, everyone should remember financials/SaaS led the market lower and the same pressures remain. Claude Mythos indicates we are closer than ever to RSI and AGI so the AI disruption due to exponential progress remains for SaaS. This feeds into Private Credit. For those still unsure about Private Credit, the recent interview with Kieran Goodwin and Ted Seides is a must listen. youtube.com/watch?v=Z6LzeV… I have listened to many on the subject and just like with oil analysis on Iran, it usually deteriorates into and "end of the world" rant followed by how the market is wrong. The market is never wrong. Kieran and Ted calmly go through the issues and rather than and end of the world slant, it logically and sequentially takes you through the problems and where we are in the credit cycle. Here is a visual of the podcast. Spoiler, there is a lot more to go. Thanks Kieran and Ted. Nice work

A key to effortless fat loss: You can burn ~400 calories by lifting weights for one hour. Or you can spend one second saying "no" to a 400-calorie cup of gelato. Forget about exercising more to lose fat. Focus on making changes to your nutrition to make fat loss easy.

DB's Jim Reid: Maybe the risk of losing the Senate, which looked unlikely a few weeks ago, will come into play in terms of the duration of the conflict. "Losing the Senate would curtail the Administration in its ability to get approval of Cabinet officials, Supreme Court Judges, and Fed Governors. It would impact legacy building." As Christophe notes, it would also open Pres Trump up to impeachment proceedings.

🇺🇸 #Trump #Impeachment Risk Rises as 2026 Midterms Tilt Toward Democrats 📊 Key takeaways: - The probability of Democrats regaining control of Congress is increasing. - If they win the House, they would have the power to launch impeachment proceedings. - This creates a direct link between electoral dynamics and political risk. - Markets and investors may need to start factoring in this scenario again. ⚖️ Context matters: - Trump has already been impeached twice, making this a highly unusual political backdrop. - While Democrats are cautious for now, the situation could shift quickly depending on election results. christophe-barraud.com/trump-impeachm…

I’ll ask again Did parents in the 70s/80s/90s really allow their kids to roam freely, or is that just a portrayal seen in movies
