Current prediction for the coming years: "on-chain" as we know it will die. People are fed up of being used as exit liquidity by people that make millions for promoting shady projects. Everything they hold dies, as it's all based on empty promises, held up by who can bribe the most "KOLs" to keep it afloat for a bit longer. Leading to people no longer being able to "believe in something", because everytime they do, they lose $. The space will mature and more and more people will start looking for high risk/reward investment opportunities with a timeframe of more than 30 seconds, as they realize it is not worth it to chase a 100x if you have to lose your investment 150x first before hitting it. People start adjusting their expectations, as they realize their current expectations (painted by the people that need to do so to extract $), are unrealistic. Projects that can survive and thrive, without having to rely on the crypto community to use their product/services, and do not have to rely on influencer marketing to sustain their price action, will be the big winners. I'd rather invest in a token that's backed by a company that's generating sizeable revenue that's flowing back to the token. It might not 100x as fast as your average KOL-fueled larp, but it'll be around for years instead of weeks, and as long as their KPI's trend upwards, so will their token price.
