@mjkst27 Agree, it is. At the same time, it’s heavily manipulated where shorts have the company by the balls.

I never thought I’d lose faith in what $MARA was once in pole position for. They failed. Big time. The lead they had is gone, competitors caught up and passed them. At the end of the race: A treasury losing value, EHs that changed course, and an AI pivot that came far too late.

@dollar_mara $MARA operations are eroding the value of their treasury. To keep the lights on, they will eventually have to sell Bitcoin, because the coins they mine will not be enough to cover the deficit. Especially with weaker BTC price.

$MARA just gets more and more undervalued relative to peers the longer the market wants to mess around with max pain. MARA is a 20 dollar stock at minimum trading in the 8s. Free money buying here and waiting for a pump but might take a while. Selling calls free money currently

@cryptovicci they only changed to fit more in line with their AI business now. don't think they care about cycles. I expect them to hold most of the Bitcoin anyway. These headlines are getting blown out of proportion and engagement farmed hard

@investmattallen If you operate a Bitcoin treasury and understand its cyclical nature, you shouldn’t be running the balance sheet as a permanent long. Changing strategy only after the cycle turns isn’t a strategy. It’s an admission that capital allocation and risk management were handled poorly.

The amount of FUD around $MARA Marathon Digital is comical They updated their 10-K to say that they might buy, sell, or hold their $BTC Bitcoin at any time for strategic purposes like AI Data Centers ect So no, they are not liquidating their entire Bitcoin portfolio 🤦🏼‍♂️

8/ Imagine the alternative. If that same capital had been used to repurchase MARA shares instead of buying BTC at the top, the company could have reduced share count and increased ownership per shareholder. Instead, they massively increased exposure at the top.

7/ Selling BTC to fund a negative operation. Hard to see how that ends anywhere other than destroying shareholder value over time.

1/ $MARA buying BTC high and selling low. A strategy so inefficient that management may soon have to sell Bitcoin just to fund operations instead of diluting shareholders with more stock. Let that sink in.
