As per my previous email 😎 ...Google I/O just confirmed that LLMs.txt file validation is coming to Chrome as part of their Agent Developer Tools. At Wix we have been preparing for this moment for months. We are currently rolling out global implementation of our agentic LLMs.txt files and will be making additional updates soon! @CrystalontheWeb I loved them for the little interviews I did - grabbing quick shots of the city. I wore them to my son’s awards ceremony and took his picture. And I used them at his piano recital! I can’t wait to use them for his basketball games and golf next year!

@harpreetchatha_ That's not what that says. It says that you can hide your llms.txt. We generate an llms.txt file automatically, but if you don't want it, you can switch it off. But we're not saying you would be hiding your site. Just that you wouldn't be giving AI tools specific guidance.

@CrystalontheWeb Seems like Wix have associated llms.txt with search over the past few months. I don’t see references to Agents. Telling people that their website will be hidden from ai tools if they don’t use the llms.txt file is a bit of a stretch and is misinformation.

Yes. And in the article, I explain all to the things we did to make the file agent ready for Wix sites - which includes sharing API endpoints and giving agentic directives. The phrase "agent-ready" is doing a lot of work here and worth unpacking. There's a difference between a llms.txt that passes the Chrome audit (file exists, domain root, machine-readable) and one that's actually useful to agents. The audit checks presence. Agents need structure, clear action paths, and enough context to complete a task without guessing. Most teams will add the file and move on. The ones that treat it as an interface document — like you'd design an API endpoint — are the ones agents will actually use.

You can't even make this stuff up SEOs. Google just published documentation citing how the LLMs.txt is PART OF CHROME'S AGENTIC AUDITS!!!!

Really happy to see @OpenAI adopt @GoogleDeepMind's SynthID for watermarking AI generated images. We need more such cross industry partnerships for enabling responsible use of AI systems.
