Strongly recommend product sense course for product executives from @shreyas. It systematically decomposes product sense into Cognitive Empathy, Customer Motivation, and Creativity and goes deep on how to deliberately improve across each dimension.

@joecarlsonshow It’s not a contradiction the way I understood it. He said China is lot constrained by energy so theoretically they could put a lot of chips they have access to in parallel to create a model like Mythos. US however is power constrained so they need the most efficient Nvdia chips

Jensen: Our chips are so powerful and unique that nobody can compete with them Also Jensen: Selling our chips to China won’t help them, they will get there anyway He doesn’t seem to see the contradiction in arguing how necessary his chips are, how impossible they are to replicate, but also how it’s okay to sell to them to China.

Grok in the Tesla is incredible for a first release beta. I’ve been intentionally using it more while I’m running errands to get advice on recipes, ask it medical questions, etc. the key is speed. It’s amazing how fast it responds. Really didn’t expect it to work so well. it’s going to be even better when it lets me build lists and interface better with my Grok account. You’re going to be able to carry out productivity tasks with your voice in the car. And soon you’ll be able to use your computer/phone also. There is so much to be excited about as a Tesla owner it’s insane. V14? more Grok integration? I don’t have to pay extra for any of this because I already bought the software? There isn’t anything comparable on US market in the 30-40k’s. Probably nothing tech-comparable at any price.

To monetize #ChatGPT at scale #OpenAI need to figure how to incentivize web-content publishers so they can maintain the training data inflow to improve ML models. $GOOG does link-outs to pubs who make money on site Ads/subs. Pubs losing traffic means fewer sites & poor trng data

(1) Privacy is a strong lock in (2) password manager : generate secure passwords I can use in any iOS/app and (3) default display ad blocks on websites. Even top websites like Ndtv have annoying interstitial ads. (4) speed - less memory utilization and better tab organization. If I could have a mix of (1) Safari’s password manager, (2) privacy of Brave and (3) UI/ tabs of Opera browser would switch.

What are some good ways to create strong incentives incentives (beyond just the core product of working agents, AI-search, battery saver, less cluttered web pages, less spam in search results and warnings for spammy sites, etc) for people to stop using Chrome (entirely)? Edge does this "buy cheaper tickets" / Bing rewards thing - which is probably not strong enough for retention. Have some ideas, but would like to hear more.

@aelluswamy @elonmusk @wholemars my M3 parallel parked itself at a very tight spot at a school waiting lot. Lady in the car behind walks up and says “ very impressive parking”. I said “it wasn’t me. It was Tesla Full Self driving. She goes “wow. I’ll probably get one for myself”. Tech when it works well well is indistinguishable from magic. FSD feels like voodoo magic. One of the best products I have used. Thank you @aelluswamy @elonmusk @Tesla_AI @Tesla future is bright

@tslatalk @aelluswamy @aelluswamy FSD power user here. Even in Chill mode in 13.2.8 my M3 brakes too late and hard when vehicle in front comes to a quick stop in rush hour traffic. Anyway to adjust distance from car in front similar to autopilot? this shoulder move could be avoided.

MUST WATCH: FSD V13.2.2! 🚨 Interesting new behavior -Detects heavy braking up ahead. -Performs a safety dive into the shoulder lane to stop safely and avoid a potential accident. -Once the path is clear, it seamlessly merges back into regular traffic and continues driving.

@EthanEvansVP Thank you Ethan. Knowing this info can be life changing. I was in an entry level tech job in 2013 and had no idea how much big tech pays. When a friend shared his Amazon offer it prompted me to join. Thanks to all those like you who share comp info openly (beyond cultural norms)

I make $700k part time in retirement. Let's talk about that and what I made at Amazon. I bet this headline grabbed you! We are weird about money and it is hard to talk about, but I'm going to do it anyway. Wealthy people often try to keep their wealth secret because talking about money has few rewards and many downsides. If you are lucky, you will be merely considered tacky, tasteless, or cocky for talking about money. More likely, at least a few people will attack you for being a bad person. Even further, other people will try to pressure you into giving them a gift, loan, or donation. The sane thing to do if you have any money is “stuff it under your bed” and hope no one finds out! The problem with that is that it screws up society. My headline caught your attention because most people are curious about what other people make and have, and they like to wonder and imagine. “I wonder how much they paid for that house.” ”New boat, they must be doing well.” ”I bet the boss is rolling in it.” That last phrase comes from the image of someone rolling around in piles of their money! Let's call this “curiosity” what it is- It is an emotional response that ancient religious texts would call “envy" in some cases and "greed" in others. This makes it impossible to have real discussions about money because on one side people try to hide their wealth to avoid criticism and on the other people try to snoop into their business and then become judgmental. This exacerbates the problems in our world because we can’t openly talk about things like corporate profits, wages, billionaires, or poverty. When people do try to talk about wealth it often comes across as an attack, and so the people who have money get defensive. This is because everyone has been taught that speaking about money is taboo, and so most people who break that taboo are doing so out of anger. Anger is met with defensiveness. Plus, what are we expecting? That wealthy people will suddenly say "You are right, I'm a bad person, take my house"? I am pleased that I have been able to write about wealth without it becoming an issue here on LinkedIn, and I'll continue that in my post next week. It will discuss how I built my personal, part-time business to $700,000/year in three years. I figure some of you will want to know how I did it so that one day you can do it yourselves. Meanwhile, I'll "go first" when it comes to sharing information on executive wealth with the hope of normalizing the conversation. In my best year at Amazon, driven by high stock performance, I made about $2M before taxes. My "target" comp as an executive was less than half that: $900,000. Why share this? Not to brag. I want to help you make money, save money, build a business, and know when you can retire. It's hard to do that without ever talking about real numbers. I can help you better if I talk openly about money. Follow me here for more on these topics.

@AravSrinivas @AskPerplexity Sachin - the bowlers he was up against were world class talent on pitches that were imo way more bowler friendly than today (McGrath, Gillespie, Ambrose , Walsh, Brett Lee, and many more ). Sachin also was one man army in late 90s. Other batsmen were just not consistent

I shared this note with the Washington Post team this morning: I’m writing to let you know about a change coming to our opinion pages. We are going to be writing every day in support and defense of two pillars: personal liberties and free markets. We’ll cover other topics too of course, but viewpoints opposing those pillars will be left to be published by others. There was a time when a newspaper, especially one that was a local monopoly, might have seen it as a service to bring to the reader’s doorstep every morning a broad-based opinion section that sought to cover all views. Today, the internet does that job. I am of America and for America, and proud to be so. Our country did not get here by being typical. And a big part of America’s success has been freedom in the economic realm and everywhere else. Freedom is ethical — it minimizes coercion — and practical — it drives creativity, invention, and prosperity. I offered David Shipley, whom I greatly admire, the opportunity to lead this new chapter. I suggested to him that if the answer wasn’t “hell yes,” then it had to be “no.” After careful consideration, David decided to step away. This is a significant shift, it won’t be easy, and it will require 100% commitment — I respect his decision. We’ll be searching for a new Opinion Editor to own this new direction. I’m confident that free markets and personal liberties are right for America. I also believe these viewpoints are underserved in the current market of ideas and news opinion. I’m excited for us together to fill that void. Jeff
