@erfmufn @isro 2/2 I had a full view of the 1st-stg SRB burn and contrails from the horizon, and the bright orange-yellow plumes of the 2nd stg Vikas UDMH+N2O4 burn until about T+3 minutes, when it got too faint. But the Nikon D5 maintained AF lock throughout, maybe due to its IR sensitivity.

@erfmufn @isro 1/2 Congratulations - no mean feat to pick it up at T+30 mins with only the cryogenic burn in progress and no contrails. By comparison, I lost sight of it at ~T+3 min at an altitude of maybe 150-180 km in broad daylight with a Nikon D5 with a 200-500mm f/5.6 zoom and 1.4x TC.

I would maintain a high level of scepticism about the Indian Govt's claim of a huge lithium find in J&K. It could be a diversionary story. They have a track record. In 2007 there was this:

#Lithium price in international market $3K-12K/kg Let's pick lowest price which makes value of 1MT of lithium= $30L. Now if reserves found in India has only 10% purity, total cost of 5.9M MT becomes $1.77 Lac Cr or say almost ₹145 Lac Cr. And imagine if it has higher purity😁

@ARanganathan72 (6/n) If we could not competitively mine Graphite which sells for $25k/tonne, is it likely that we will be able to competitively produce Lithium Carbonate, which sells for ~$10/tonne? In one word: Unlikely.

Quick update. 1. thanks for the great discussions in this 🧵! 2. the longer sequence clearly shows the SC2 identical spike without FCS is expressed in a very common lab plasmid, pcDNA3.1 3. that last bit may be a transmembrane domain according to @Daoyu15 (follow him!)

Now this is interesting: twitter.com/MartinaSisters… seems like a State Key Laboratory of Pathogen and Biosecurity scientist from Beijing uploaded a sequence from a 2019 Henan sputum sample. He thought it was from pseudomonas, but it is actually 100% the SARS2 spike without the FCS.
