Congratulations to the great Justice Clarence Thomas for reaching yet another historic milestone this week in becoming the second longest-serving member of the Supreme Court. His impact has been unmatched.
From the humblest of beginnings, through hard work, faith, and conviction, he became one of the most influential leaders in our nation’s history. As I told him last week, his commencement address at my law school 30 years ago has been an inspiration to me ever since.

Completely agree with President Trump’s assessment that the blockade of Iranian oil shipments is brilliant in concept and execution. The economic pressure on Iran is beyond real.
However, we can’t forget who we’re dealing with here. The regime could care less about its people and will continue to challenge President Trump and the world.
I still support a diplomatic conclusion to the Iranian conflict that will achieve the stated purpose of changing Iran’s behavior so it will never be able to acquire a nuclear weapon and will not be allowed to go back to its old ways of terrorizing the region and the world. Simply put, a diplomatic solution that makes Iran more normal and less crazy would be welcome.
A diplomatic solution does, however, require willing partners, which seems to be missing in the case of Iran. With that in mind, I would urge President Trump to strongly push to open the Strait of Hormuz to more international shipping, improving the world economy and reducing Iran’s leverage. If Iran continues to be provocative toward the world and the United States, we should never hesitate to use whatever military means necessary to neutralize this threat.
Ultimately, it is my hope that when we resolve the Iranian issue, we can go back to seeking peace between Saudi Arabia and Israel, the biggest prize in over 2,000 years. To secure nominalization between these two countries, it is imperative that Iran be put in a box, so they can never generate another October 7. I believe that goal is not only within sight, but it’s very close.

Comey indictment:
“On or about May 15, 2025, in the Eastern District of North Carolina, the
defendant, JAMES BRIEN COMEY JR, did knowingly and willfully make a threat to take the life of, and to inflict bodily harm upon, the President of the United States, in that he publicly posted a photograph on the internet social media site Instagram which depicted seashells arranged in a pattern making out ‘86 47’,
which a reasonable recipient who is familiar with the circumstances would interpret as a serious expression of an intent to do harm to the President of the United States.”
