the one two punch of robby being reminded that there are still simple moments in life that make it worth living, followed by santos and mel screaming at karaoke after enduring such a painful day was so lovely but also made me physically ill. like that’s the stuff.

The Pitt finale, what a rush. Tying up storylines. Closing loops. Character arcs. The hint of something having shifted. Makes u want to come back—but not by doing some mystery-box-show bullshit cliffhanger. That’s REAL TV. I feel like could run a marathon.

@asterysms @charrlysa I think it’s partially to showcase the desensitization that they all have when it comes to death, and the way ED culture is just very blasé about death. I think we were supposed to be a bit uncomfortable w it.

the concept of saying the problem in an ED is one overworked and suicidal doctor and not the healthcare system that is pushing all of its doctors to be suicidal and distressed every single shift

@thamosdeaf I honestly don’t know what people are getting out of this show if they can’t watch that final scene without being deeply moved by what he says to the baby. It’s the kindest, gentlest thing he does the whole season.

have many thoughts on THE PITT finale but for now I'll just say Robby's arc this season was devastating and beautiful and real and Noah Wyle gave one of the best dramatic performances of the last several years. not everything this season was perfect, but that pretty much was

speaking of realism, if the show framed samira leaving as a direct result of robby's behavior it would be devastating but logical considering that's where they were headed with s1. it certainly speaks to what supriya is saying here. unfortunately, it's not written that way in s2
