On the last ride home after a whole week of long motorbike journeys, just as we were finally all set to begin our new life in Indonesia, disaster struck… I was driving on the highway at about 50km p/h when a stray dog ran out of nowhere into the road hitting the front wheel of my bike and sending me and my girlfriend sprawling to the ground. My girlfriend, who was holding our brand new 32 inch tv on the back of the bike is ok (bar a few bad cuts) but my collar bone is almost definitely broken, I think from her and the tv landing on me. Shock and adrenaline enabled me to get back on the bike and drive us to hospital with one arm (no idea how) and I am currently waiting for x rays to confirm the break but I broke the same bone 10 years ago playing football and I am 99% sure it is broken again. This is quite possibly the worst way to start 2024 in history but grateful I am the one who is seriously hurt not my gf and even more grateful to be alive.
