Michigan was the better team. Michigan outscores UConn by 13 points at the free throw line in a 6 point game. However UConn lost the game because they couldn't hit their open 3's in the 2nd half and missed opportunities on transition baskets. Too many missed Shots.

It would be great if Braylon Mullins after this game decides to comeback. He's 4-17 shooting. He had some good open looks and didn't make them.

Michigan now in the bonus. Took longer then I expected but IMO that guarantees a Michigan win. UConn can't hold Michigan scoreless when they're in the bonus.

@DaveBorges Poor shooting in the 2nd half put UConn away. They had their chances but Michigan's size and defense were to tough to over come. Karaban and Mullins had to score 20+ points for UConn to have a chance.

It takes a lot to kill these Huskies. Does Michigan have that ability to put a team away? The '24 Huskies did.

Alex Karaban 0-2 on Free Throws. UConn in the last few minutes could have gotten back into the game and possibly taken a lead. Too many missed shots. Give Michigan's defense credit.

Taris Reed is significantly being hampered by Michigan's size. He's 4-11 shooting and he mostly shoots within 3 feet of the basket.

Karaban 2-8 and Mullin 1-7 on 3's. They had to shoot almost 50% on 3's for UConn to win. Only a 7 point game with 7 minutes left. Still a chance for UConn but they have to make their 3's and transition baskets.

UConn could have had a quick 5 points on transition attempts. Missed the open 3 point shot and then Michigan's defense stopped the 2 point shot. Would have put them right back into the game. UConn 1-10 on 3's second half.

@MichiganPodcast Shortly you will get the blow out you predicted. UConn is committing too many fouls and aren't making enough three point shots. Also turning the ball over in 2nd half more.

I count 8 UCONN points on hustle offensive rebounds alone. Cut those in half and just make two threes and this game is a blowout right now.

Will UConn keep the final margin to 15 points or less? I don't think so. Michigan doesn't have to shoot 3's. Just pound the ball down low to score and get to the free throw line. UConn 1-7 on 3's 2nd half.
