@Merrydawg As for me, I was dumb; I downloaded malware from someone I had spoken to before, but I and others got hacked because Discord simply lets password and email changes happen without a confirmation email serving as a boundary. Discord is shit at protecting accounts.

How do peoples Discord keep getting hacked? Are you guys clicking weird links, scanning QR codes, and downloading viruses daily or something? I haven't had my Discord hacked in 10 years.

@DJEsmeraldMusic @discord_support Admittedly, Discord offers virtually no defense systems on their side. Password and email changes go through without a confirmation email that acts as a boundary, which is PRETTY concerning. I got hacked too; Discord sending me an email that my password was changed is useless.

@discord_support Your support team doesn't help on this. Please just find out what is happening (its massive, not 2/3 cases). My login info is highly secure, and I have sensitive information there.

Be careful with your Discord account. Yesterday I was momentarily hacked with the very common message with images of a MrBeast Scam. It passed through password, multifactor auth, and even didn't receive a single email of a new login. Happened to a friend at the same time. @discord please take this seriously because this is a VERY BIG problem.

@discord_support I have been unable to access my compromised account for the last 5 days. The compromise changed my password and enabled 2FA. My ticket number is #65064543. I have not gotten any new replies since the day I made my ticket.

@discord_support It's been 4 days since I got my account hacked; I haven't heard anything from support since. I made a new request, which immediately got flagged as solved, and the reply I made only gave me an email saying I can't contact via email, despite the fact I didn't.

None of these people are doing it to protect children, they’re doing it for the attention and/or to have a morally justified reason to be violent. They’re barely better than the child predators
