A (non-superstar) album being organically talked about for more than 7 days does not exist anymore. Any album that has sustained conversation either has a hit or money is still being spent on it. There are too many other new stories on social media to focus on an album. Strong support for an album is silent now. Are people still streaming it weeks later? But nobody is going to look this stuff up. A better metric is: "How many streams did ____ album do on its 10th week" Compare that to how many streams an artist with similar first week sales did on their 10th week. That paints a more accurate picture (assuming both don't have a hit song).
