"The Trial of Mary Wade," in 1978 was developed as part of a federal desegregation grant to examine the denial of civil liberties. The performance actively involved students as both the witnesses and jury in a re-creation of a 16th century witch trial. #TBT #50YearsofCAT

CAT's first partnership was with the New York Urban Coalition, which commissioned "Tower of Babble" (photo) in 1978 to address the issue of inadequate communication in schools. #WBW #50YearsofCAT #CATHistory
