@Brad13____ Bart hasn't been good but to blame Bubba's struggles (which have been present all season) on Bart is comical. Same issues that were there opening day when he walked 6 batters. We blaming that on Davis too?

@YankeesRising How curious that you chose to single out the three teams that are rivals to the Yankees. Probably just a coincidence. They were still projected to be 4th, 7th, and 9th in runs scored by FanGraphs in preseason. TOR & NYM especially have had early injuries to key hitters.

This seems like just an absolutely horrible thing to introduce into a 19 year old’s swing, especially when he had been improving. Call me crazy but i’m not worried about his foundation when he was putting up outlandish stats at 19 years old in the minors

You can see Griffin’s adjustment pretty clearly here as he engages his lower half. Rather than loading back and then striding forward, Griffin is actually loading into the ground first, which will produce a lot more raw juice.

Convinced the only people defending Don Kelly on his PH decision are those who never played baseball at a high level and became stat nerds. Yes stats/splits etc. matter but when you have the hottest hitter in baseball coming up with 1 out and bases loaded, you let him hit. Simple as that.

Pittsburgh Pirates officially promote Connor Griffin and designate IF Emmanuel Valdez for assignment.
Griffin, who will wear No. 6, becomes the first teenager to make his debut with the Pirates since Aramis Ramirez on May 26, 1998.
His new contract becomes official this weekend.
