Actually, Tony, I’ve never operated like a state employee. I work 24/7. I answer the phone when anybody calls and I always believe in customer service. A Typical State employee might not answer the phone after 5 PM. Tell me I’m wrong. And you dang sure wouldn’t have their cell phone number.

Today I sent this letter to Attorney General Paxton regarding his office’s troubling handling of the Adam Hoffman child sexual abuse case in Waco. To me and to many Texans — and certainly to child sexual abuse and assault victims and their families — the plea deal General Paxton agreed to (serious felony crimes reduced to misdemeanor charges, only 30 days in county jail, no mandatory registration as a sex offender and no permanent loss of Hoffman’s law license) is incomprehensible. As the state’s top law enforcement officer, General Paxton owes all Texans an answer. #txlege

Heartbreaking Statement from the Mother of Adam’s Hoffman’s Victim:
“This case was treated differently because of who Adam Hoffman was and who
represented him… the Attorney General’s office under Ken Paxton … bent the system to protect him instead of protecting my son. Why are the people in charge of protecting us getting away with this? My son deserved protection. Instead, every authority protected his abuser. Ken Paxton must be held accountable.”
