Burnham won a by-election at a canter & is now a Labour MP, which makes him eligible to be Party leader. It's how the Tories appointed Truss and Sunak. You might not like it, but that's our democracy.

We have a huge immigration problem About to hit in the next couple of years and it now looks like this government will do nothing about it. Between 1m and 1.5m immigrants will become eligible for ILR (Indefinite leave to remain) very soon. Shabana Mahmood suggested she would retrospectively change the qualifying period from 5 to 10 yrs. Now a House of Lords committee largely populated by Labour grandees, much of the Labour Party, and most importantly the incoming leader and probable new PM Andy Burnham are totally against that and look like blocking it. That means a HUGE amount of new people will be able to clam various welfare and housing benefits as well as be able to vote. It’s incredibly destructive for our entire society.

This is so damning. The police were on the back foot from the start saying without any actual facts to back it up that Nowak would have died anyway. Now we know that 8 invaluable minutes were lost when the police could have done something to staunch the blood flow at the very least. When exactly was the ambulance called? My betting is if the police hadn’t been so sure Nowak was a racist he would probably or possibly have lived.
