The podcast I've been working on for the last year with @jm_miller & @davidmfuchs launches next week. It chronicles one of Utah's many teen treatment centers as it got pass after pass from the state gov't. Go to your podcast app and subscribe to Sent Away.

@deenafaywinter Thirteen candidates on the stage -- gives me flashbacks to the 2013 race. Soooo many candidates (and so many debates!)

@PatGarofalo OK -- I was skeptical that it was that improbable, but then I did math. Each team has ~97% chance of not winning each year. ~.97^32... about 1 in 3. But then you take that to the 4th power (4 Teams) and it's 1.5%. So pretty improbable! But improbable things happed all the time ;)

Proud of my former student, @MPRnews's @tw_estelle, for her excellent story about why it's taking so long to rebuild properties that were destroyed by the arson fires that followed George Floyd's murder five years ago.

Many schools rely on an organization called EdReports when deciding which reading programs to purchase. But there's a problem with that.

Hello! A little news from me. Next week is my last at @CPRNews. Later this month I will join the @StarTribune's politics team covering the Capitol. Denver, Colorado and CPR have all been wonderful to me since I arrived more than a decade ago. I'll miss this place dearly.

Third graders in Steubenville, Ohio, are among the best little readers in the nation. For nearly 20 years, the elementary schools in this economically depressed area have produced better readers than some of the wealthiest places in the country. apmreports.org/story/2025/02/…
