happy to clarify the morally correct position here: Tony Hinchcliffe is a hack, Shane Gillis is funny, the stuff that got Gillis kicked off SNL was beneath him, and Chelsea Handler is mad because Gillis called her a Zionist who supports the killing of children

@1000TimesYes granted i've never actually watched a full Gillis special (not sure why I felt compelled to weigh in here...) but I have a laughed a good deal at bits i've seen. just seems like she has an obvious reason to paint the roast material with a broad brush

@cushac Gillis is moderately funny — certainly the only one of these three remotely in the *orbit* of funny — but he's nowhere near funny enough to justify the cult around him. I tried to watch his Netflix hour and had to turn it off and watch Stavvy Baby instead.
