AMAZON moves stuff

I attended my first tech events in SF within the last two weeks. Vercel, Supabase, Stripe Sessions, an after hosted by @lottsnomad indie hacker meetup hosted by @marclou Here are some observations as a first time builder/tech attender. - Something is very infectious about being in San Francisco - People are building very cool/interesting things everywhere - Some want to build the next Unicorn, others want freedom, some want to serve humanity and few want all three - “What are you building?” Is the most commonly asked question you’ll get - If humility is not in your bloodstream, it will be by the time you leave the city. Someone’s always got a “better” idea - Hard to discern between genuine connections and general networking. Nurture both anyway. - Everyone asks for your X or LinkedIn, never your Instagram. This is refreshing. - Being in an accelerator like YC gives you instant credibility. Same with incubators. This is tech status signaling. - There’s an invisible friction of real coders vs fake coders. - Everyone seems to be themselves which is really cool. Very little posturing experienced. - Everyone in SF runs outside, wear and tear on knee cartilage startup to track how much you have left would be useful. What else would you add?
