Three things worth doing this weekend: (1) Check recovery emails on accounts that matter. From a dead service? Change it now. (2) Search "you haven't logged in." Close those ghost accounts. (3) Get a password manager. The disruption already happened. Use it.

What changed in 12 months: ➡️ Gmail killed POP3 aggregation (Jan 2026) ➡️ Google killed basic auth for apps (Mar 2025) ➡️ Microsoft: same, deadline Apr 2026 ➡️ Comcast migrating millions to Yahoo Mail All announced. All ignored. Like the manual that came with your TV.
