Why would I want to play a game someone couldn’t even be bothered to make. Why would I want to read and listen to dialogue someone couldn’t be bothered to translate themselves. If it’s not worth the effort for a studio to make it, why would I want to play it.

Anyways so I treated myself to a single pack of pokemom cards because you can finally obtain them and got 3 of my favourite pokemon. Was nice to feel joy about it all again.

@pampurins Yep 😭😭😭 I am so mad new sets have pikas up to like 700 bucks. UNHEARD OF in my day. 120USD for a charizard card. Worst it got. It is infuriating seeing what it's become... we had people scrambling over promos this week bc they're valued at 100 bucks. Awful.

@cybuuorg They just literally don't know any other pokemon besides some of the original 151 and maaaaybe some Johto ones lol, thats why they see Charizard as the best one and dgaf about other pokemon cards. I'd say Gengar too and obviously Pikachu.

Legitimately as someone who works around the cards, that's all they know. Even this set isn't hyped up because it lacks the trademark pokes everyone knows. Also screw everyone for making Gengar cards ridiculously expensive. This ruined the hobby. :(

Grown Adults have run the hobby into the ground acting like its the next cryp7o craze. It made me bitter for a long time. Nice to see people enjoying it, KIDS actually getting to enjoy it.

Execs and so-called experts like to talk up a big game that genAI will speed things up in game development and not realise that they are the major bottlenecks in approvals. It doesn't matter how fast something gets done if there is no alignment or no proper approval process.

We will NOT be buying games who used GenAI at ANY point in development We've been making games for decades and never needed this shit. So no one will ever make me believe we need it now I'd rather invest in my fellow devs than in this trash exploitative and destructive ''tech''

I have absolutely no intention of pitting traditional paintings/illustrations against digital ones, and I’ll certainly continue using digital in the future, but I’m gradually growing tired of the flood of AI-generated images and realizing the worth of traditional ones again.
