I’d lean more toward structural issues.
From what we’ve seen, it’s more structural than anything else because a lot of architects still rely on referrals or closed networks, so great work doesn’t get exposed at scale.
Also, architectural designs haven’t really been treated like digital products, so there’s no real system for visibility, distribution, and repeat discovery.
That’s part of what we’re trying to rethink with Cyclops, making designs easier to find, trust, and actually transact on. 🚀

@cyclops22814 Discoverability is the hidden bottleneck no one talks about. Great architects exist who nobody knows.
What's the biggest barrier you've seen — platform choice, language, or something structural about how the industry works?

@BSAT_Properties Especially with Nigeria unstable economy. Assuming costs without proper research is wrong.

"10 Million Naira Can Build You a House!”
Just yesterday, I had a conversation with a friend about something that’s becoming a serious issue in the construction space.
Many people on social media who present themselves as construction professionals are, in reality, just content creators. Their priority is not accuracy or value, it’s likes, comments, and virality.
They tell people what they want to hear, not what they need to hear.
An architect is currently trending because of an estimate he gave for a building project online. But let’s be honest, building a house is not cheap, especially when you’re working with professionals who prioritize quality, durability, and long term value over cutting corners.
The truth is this:
You cannot accurately estimate the cost of building a house without proper drawings, specifications, soil conditions, location factors, and detailed calculations.
Anyone who goes online to ask, “How much will it cost to build a 4-bedroom house in Nigeria?” without a plan is not looking for truth, they’re looking for comfort.
And unfortunately, many content creators are ready to give them that comfort, even if it’s misleading.
If you’re serious about building, do it the right way:
Engage a Quantity Surveyor for proper cost analysis.
Work with qualified Architects and Builders.
Base your decisions on drawings and specifications, not assumptions
Stop taking advice from people who have never handled real projects but speak confidently online.
In construction, wrong information doesn’t just mislead you, it can cost you millions, or worse, compromise the safety of your building.
Build with facts. Build with professionals. Build for the long term.
Be wise, don't be Yakubu.

@_OvalDesigns Some Architects include them in site plan designs. But on site they don't implement. Clients just concrete everywhere after building. Clients are also at fault.

Great question, it’s actually a mix of all three.
Discoverability is a big issue. Many architects don’t have a platform where their work can consistently be seen.
Trust is another aspect, buyers want to be sure they’re getting complete, build-ready designs.
Payment infrastructure hasn’t been structured specifically for this kind of digital product.
That’s exactly what we’re trying to solve with Cyclops bringing visibility, trust, and seamless transactions into one place. 🚀

@cyclops22814 Architects monetizing their designs directly — cutting out the middleman.
What's the biggest barrier for architects getting paid for digital work right now? Discoverability, trust, or payment infrastructure?
