"death slot" is only really deadly if your song is a borderline qualifier that has to fight for the 10th spot. if an entry is terrible it won't Q, even if you close the show and if it's good quality you'll get to the final from literally anywhere
so this year no one's affected

@Jahlvardravito @LChicaDelAzucar sure, i shouldn't say japanese doesn't have syllables because you can always analyze language using syllables, but in japanese that's less useful than morae, and with respect to haikus, there's no way to translate the morae per line into an equivalent number of english syllables

but also, i think we would benefit from more emojis to represent people in general as opposed to just what we currently have. not just pride flags, but like covering a bunch of other groups and such. but again, a lot of people simply aren't inclusive enough for that convo yet

I love "BTPIO", but I'll never understand what makes songwriters think that repeating the same word/phrase for 35% of a song is a good idea. it'd probably take less than 15 minutes of rewriting to fix this. even 2-3 different lines would be enough sometimes. it can't be that hard
