@sappholives83 I don’t believe they’re gay. Gay men would never behave like this. These are AGP perverts.

Can we do something about this trend where gay men are going around pretending to be lesbians? Lesbians are female. We neither have nor want anything to do with a penis. This charade is offensive and culturally appropriative. Just fvcking stop already.

@caracus2k @monverduyn @helenstaniland who identifies and lives as a woman they’re not trying to redefine biology they’re describing a social category people who are recognised & function in society as women. That’s no more circular than a citizen is someone recognised as a citizen, a member is someone accepted

A very important article. The number of bullies who keep telling me that the ‘new definition’ of lesbian includes men is insane and deeply homophobic.
Jeff Varner@JEFFVARNER

Ben Appel’s WSJ piece “I’m Gay, but That Doesn’t Make Me ‘Queer’” is excellent and necessary. @benappel bravely stating what so many of us feel. Our sexuality doesn’t require rejecting what’s normal and legitimate. It doesn’t force us to embrace “queer” ideology or become an identity insurgent. He nails it. Queer theory isn’t gay rights; it’s a misguided rejection of shared human values and reality itself. It’s rare to see this perspective from a gay male in mainstream media. Well done, Ben.

@monverduyn @helenstaniland You’re asserting a single definition as settled fact, then treating disagreement as harm. That’s not an argument, it’s a definition plus moral accusation

@Richard56370536 @helenstaniland There’s one definition of a girl and you don’t get to change or appropriate it. People like you reject that definition to allow you to destroy girls’ rights to safety, dignity, privacy, equality and bodily integrity. Women say no.

@badsuum @ZeniorElDynamo @opal_galaxies Lesbians are not ‘non men’. We aren’t defined in relation to men. Lesbian means a woman attracted to women, so “non-binary lesbian” is a contradiction in terms.

@LiscoSen @Jayme_Speaking @sarahkahncept @JonniSkinner @GovWhitmer What on earth gives you the right to speak for lesbians? You’re a disgusting homophobe who is not a woman or a lesbian. You don’t speak on our behalf, and you don’t get to dictate that we erase ourselves to accommodate men’s demands. Your times up sexist bigot.

@Jayme_Speaking @sarahkahncept @JonniSkinner @GovWhitmer “The women accepting you aren’t actual lesbians” What on earth gives you the right to speak on their behalf or erase their sexuality? The notion that this hatred of trans people is somehow a prerequisite for being any sexuality is absurd, as is the rest of this unhinged tirade.

@TheFaceOfAsa @slimengrimen Lesbians are same sex attracted — to the whole woman. It’s not just about genitals. Bottom surgery which is very rare for trans identifying men, means fuck all to homosexuals, as does gender. It’s deranged to think you can dictate the identity and sexuality of gay people.

This peaked me more than any other single incident. The man pictured, “Gabrielle” Darone, spent 9 months simulating a pregnancy, including feigned morning sickness and the wearing of a fake belly, with the intention of play-acting the loss of the imaginary baby. He also joined a support group for grieving mothers who had lost children, seeking validation and “support” for his planned “stillbirth.” He even went so far as to rent a machine that simulated contractions, and bought a plastic “baby” which he inserted into his rectum and then “gave birth to.” Afterwards, he took two weeks off from work to “grieve.” Women who objected to his presence in the group - women who had actually lost children - were kicked out so that this man could feel supported in his game of ‘let’s pretend.’ Their very real grief was considered less important than this man’s sexual fantasies. To top it all off, he did all of this in the house he still shared with his unconsenting soon-to-be-ex-wife and their minor children. He even roped his 7 year old into taking “maternity pictures.” Mr. Darone also convinced his doctors to provide him with drugs to induce lactation. He asked the members of an online breastfeeding group he’d joined if any of them would be willing to let him “breastfeed” - that is, sexually assault - their babies, and attempted to donate the chemical-laced sludge he pumped out of his moobs to “other mothers.” These men have proven over and over again that there is no aspect of women’s pain that they will not twist into a prop for their sickening deviancy, from rape to oppression to sexual objectification. Even the loss of a child in the womb is fair game to them: a perverted, selfish, hyper-sexualized game of make-believe that must always take priority over the real pain and real needs of real women.

@comedymolester @sicbones13 @BumpstockBarbie @sappholives83 Nothing in that tiny study says lesbians would date transwomen. In fact, lesbians are notably less positive than they were in 2023. Not surprising when trans lesbians have violated lesbian identity. Lesbian has always meant same-sex attracted women; trans lesbians are not women.

@sicbones13 @BumpstockBarbie @sappholives83 Positive view means they view trans women as women and why would a lesbian not be with someone they think is a woman? Don't say "they aren't women" because your opinion doesn't matter to them. Say why THEY wouldn't

@JuryTrialReport @preta_6 That's gaslighting rubbish. Men like you keep repeating this nonsense to deny women athletes fairness and a female category based on sex. Much as you may despise women, they too have the human right of sport.

@monverduyn @preta_6 Right. That will be like 100-115 women at the Olympics by that math Lucia. That's going to be a lot of women that everyone thought were women, who will found out this summer they aren't. That's going to be very tough for them. Trans girls and women enjoy the human right of sport.

Exactly this. Elite athletes are tough and resilient by nature—you don’t get to the top of a sport otherwise. The idea that a cheek swab = trauma is utter nonsense.
Melanie@Mcheek88

@preta_6 I spent a year swabbing the noses.of athletes so they could compete during covid. They take piss tests with someone watching to evaluate for drugs and hydration. They get weighed and measured. If they are an athlete who wants to compete, they won't complain about a cheek swab.

@JuryTrialReport @preta_6 Not true at all. The number of women with DSD (0.02%) or CAIS (0.002%) is tiny - not “many women” at all. A positive result will be further assessed. This only strengthens the case for women’s sex-based sporting boundaries.

@preta_6 My friend Amy misses a couple of points. Of course it is not that an invasive and unnecessary test is about toughness. It's that it is unnecessary, unreliable and will lead to the identify many women (all agree are woman) as being excluded from sports. And trans girls are girls.

Not only was it extremely lovely to wake up to so many pics of people’s dogs, it was also hugely heartening to note the universal outcry at the BBC’s sudden, & rather transparent, motivation to ‘suggest’ that we, as a country, might have taken our love for dogs “a bit too far…”

Tomboy, not trans. When I moved from the style on the left to the style on the right, nothing about my personality or gender changed. I didn't do it because Im a lesbian. I did it because I find it easier to style men's clothing and I like the ability to change my hair often. I simply became comfortable styling myself. Still a woman. Still love pink and things that sparkle. I go feral for Target runs and Starbs. I hate yard work and I would love to be a home maker. Changing my clothing and hair did not change my gender. If anything, it affirmed to me that femininity comes from inside, and it's a beautiful thing.
