Concerns that I do have with the top-3:
AJ - very poor defender at BYU, not a great 3PT shooter and the shot is a bit flat.
DP - the playmaking was not there at Kansas and he looked noticeably less bursty at Kansas.

@BatmanBYU @ZP12Hoops I disagree. Scheme and need required him to be a scorer and play finisher. Check Kansas players assist numbers. All but one are below 2 per game

Is no one concerned that Peterson is the same size as Alec Burks?
He’s light.
You want a bonafide SG to be about 220 lbs, not 200.
About 20 pounds undersized.
Kobe weighed 212 - 215.
Wade was 220.
This is part of why I think he’s more like Ray Allen (played at about 205).

Extremely complimentary comp for DP. Dwade’s the 3rd best SG ever, a HOF, and legendarily clutch.

Darryn Peterson's closest physical comp in the DX database: 21-year old Dwyane Wade coming out of Marquette. Little taller, comparable frame, near-identical length and reach. Peterson has time to add bulk at 19.

@ZP12Hoops I am as well, but I believe his health concerns to be a bit overblown and exaggerated. He absolutely didn’t look healthy at times during the season but he also showed flashes of his high school tape. Playing the last nine games 30+ minutes also assures me he’ll be okay

This will be my only negative tweet about AJ.. I think it's funny that fans who hated Donovan absolutely love AJ. He dribbles he air out of the ball, turns it over, and doesn't play defense. This is a vast oversimplification I just think it's kinda funny.

@cyguy_9 @CadeCottrell His imprint is dominant... dribble/pass/shoot offensive hub, elite rebounder with elite hands. Led the country in BPM as a freshman... he does literally everything and doesn't have a glaring weakness to me. I can't say the same for AJ or DP (who are amazing in their own right)

What I do find annoying is those who act like putting any of those three in a particular order is ridiculous because _____ is clearly much worse than the others.
Each of them have high ceilings in different ways. Those who say otherwise are being thick headed.

All very possible outcomes: AJ is Tatum 2.0, and maybe an even better facilitator DP is a chimera of McGrady, Kobe, & Ray Allen Cam is an offense unto himself who averages 25/9/8 on an almost nightly basis. I don't blame anyone who prefers any of those 3.

I have so many awful takes on Darryn bookmarked from the last 3 months that Im dying to let loose, but I’ll give most of you a pass for your 180 takes. Obviously there’s no guarantee that’s who UTA takes at 2 but I’ve been chuckling & shaking my head a lot for the last 24 hrs lol
