$tsla posted this in subs as part of a longer thread: people don’t realize that the stock is becoming More expensive over time due to tesla’s lack of growth in revenue and earnings tesla's DNA has been to largely move based on sentiment (leading to gamma squeezes) or technical conditions. also based on QQQ. every rally gets folded over as soon as the market realizes there is no catalyst bearing real fruit the longer tesla goes without true catalysts which carry its DCF valuation (robotaxi, optimus), the more expensive tesla gets due to its poor earnings & growth (ceteris paribus) keep that in mind. the default base case of price action for tesla is to head DOWNWARD over time the only times it bucks that trend is when its extremely oversold, or when a catalyst emerges tesla community is famous for its speculative conspiracy theories that never actually happen, but it enables the content creators to make tons of revenue off your desperation

I think there's a lot of confusion and misinformation about Zhilin's visa, H1B lottery, immigration, and why he left the U.S. Zhilin had many opportunities to stay in the U.S. if he wanted to. In fact, I was on an email thread with a senior Apple exec (Tim Cook's reports) asking whether Zhilin would consider joining Apple. I said that he wanted to go back to his homeland. The response was, well, we have an office in Beijing if he'd like to join there. But Zhilin was quite determined to go back and build a startup. I remember him telling me that if he didn't at least try starting his own company, he would regret it for the rest of his life. I respect that, and he was right. Many of my international PhD students do choose to stay in the U.S. Of course the U.S. immigration process can be quite intimidating and uncertain, even for superstar PhD graduates from places like CMU.

I was clearly wrong about Anthropic. They are obviously currently the leader in AI. No company has released a model as good as Mythos/Fable and they will undoubtedly have Mythos 2 ready soon. Tesla delivered 480,126 vehicles in Q2, up 25% YoY. Wall Street was expecting 406,000. Total Q2 production was 451,758 Tesla also says that they deployed 13.5 GWh of energy storage in Q2 2026.
